Season 1 Professions Guide – Skills, EXP, Resets
When you enter Season 1 — The Crimson Plague, you can choose a profession that grants access to unique skill sets. Two professions are playable: Engineer and War Leader. (Diplomat is listed but not yet available.) You can open the profession interface from the Season event menu or by visiting the Profession Hall building on your base. That building also lets you view profession paths, active skills, and building information.
To earn Profession Experience (EXP), kill World Map monsters, capture cities, or upgrade season buildings. Each level you gain awards one Profession Skill Point. Season 1 has a level cap of 40 — once you hit it, any extra EXP is stored at a reduced ratio and mailed to you when the next season begins. Note that some skills displayed above level 40 are shown as placeholders and are not accessible during Season 1.
To unlock a skill, you need two things: the required profession level and one Profession Skill Point. The skill on the far-right of your tree is the season’s special skill; it becomes available after the season starts, resets at the end, and refunds any points you invested in it.
If you want to change professions, use a Profession Change Certificate (available in the Season Battle Pass). It lets you reselect a profession and refunds all your original skill points. To simply reassign your current skills, use a Profession Skill Reset Book — also from the Battle Pass — which resets your skills and returns your points. The Battle Pass offers additional items that grant skill points or EXP.
Season 1 Skills by Tier
At profession level 1 you can pick from three skills. Rapid Production (max level 5) instantly yields 4 hours of in-base Food, Iron, and Coin production per level, with a 24-hour cooldown.
