Buddha’s Eyeballs Guide: Locations & Shigandang

In Chapter 2 of Black Myth Wukong, the Fright Cliff desert hides six special collectibles called Buddha’s Eyeballs. Each one is obtained by interacting with a Buddha head statue, causing the Destined One to drain the light from its eyes. Tracking down all six is well worth the effort, because they unlock a secret boss fight against Shigandang—a stone warrior whose defeat rewards you with one of the game’s best crafting materials.

      Buddha’s Eyeball Locations

The first eyeball sits on the right side of the larger mesa you encounter right after first entering Fright Cliff. Shortly after passing the Squall Hideout checkpoint, climb to the top of the rickety wooden outpost on your right to find the second. From that outpost, look back across the ravine; you’ll see a small stone path that leads to the trapped Man in Stone—the third eyeball lies along that path.

Ahead and left of the Squall Hideout checkpoint, enter a cave network where a stone altar holds the fourth eyeball. After reaching the Rockrest Flat checkpoint, hug the left-hand wall for about ten seconds to locate the fifth. The final eyeball is also in the cave network behind Rockrest Flat: ascend a staircase marked by blue flames near the Mother of Stones boss arena, and you’ll find the sixth on an open ledge beside it.

      Summoning Shigandang

Once you have all six Buddha’s Eyeballs, continue the main story until you defeat the Stone Vanguard boss. Return to that same arena (next to the Rock Clash Platform checkpoint) and look for a large, dark rock half-buried in the corner. Interact with it and choose “deliver” to begin the Shigandang fight.
